Modern Christmas Decor

It's the first week of November and I'm ready to decorate for Christmas! We need JOY in the house! I hate waiting until after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas. Especially this year, its the very last week of the month!! You don't get to enjoy the beautiful lights long enough!

I like to keep with the style of my home, which is modern farmhouse. Christmas is a weird time for me to decorate because I don't really like the color red. You'll notice that I don't have a lot of reds in my decor. If I do, its a very muted or more earth toned red.

DIY Primary Bathroom Update

I can't even begin to tell you how much I've been looking forward to this project being done! Before we bought our house, it was a rental property owned by another family. From what our neighbors tell us, they had people in and out of this house. Which means its wasn't really loved or cared for. But the footprint of our home is everything we've ever wanted. So we knew going into this home that we had some work to do it update it. We like a more of a modern farmhouse vibe, so we knew we'd be busy updating this house to match our style.

Our primary bathroom needed a TON of love. It was so outdated and the cabinets were not functional at all and it was causing me a ton of pain! Our linen closet was overloaded as a result of the vanity's lack of storage. Every morning I was having to dig in the closet trying to find my hairspray! Plus its sooo ugly! HAHAHA! My husband was feeling up for a project, so he agreed to help!

We updated the floors, switched out vanity, replaced the mirrors, and lights. It took a few days, but was well worth it!! We LOVE how it turned out! The new vanity has sooo much storage. It makes mornings so much easier! I love how light and bright it is now.
