We are finally starting to get some fall weather here in Florida! Yay! Which means I've got about 2 months of boot weather ahead of me. Because I don't have a lot of opportunities to wear boots during the year, I don't typically buy anything new. But last fall my favorite pairs of boots finally bit the dust! (I did have them for over 5 years, so I guess it was time!)
This year I wanted to get a boot that had a little bit of a heel to it. I'm 5'10 and I don't often wear heels, but there is something about a little bootie with a small heel that just feels right! Especially when I want to elevate a simple outfit. Accessories can pull the entire look together and shoes are the key to success!
I also HAVE to share this sweater with you! Its so beautiful! Oversized sweaters can leave you shapeless but with the v-neck and the collar necked, its gives the sweater more definition and I don't feel like I'm lost in it. It's *chefs kiss*.

The 2nd pair I got was a super cute short rain boot! I haven't ever had a rain boot! And living in Florida.... it rains a TON. They are super cute and I know I'll get a lot of wear out of them! In fact we take our kids to this super fun farm where the kiddos can feed and pet farm animals. And well... its dirty. I can't wait to wear these boots there! Once I style them - I'll share another post! For now they are linked below!
Fine... I gave you more than 5 but they are SOOO cute!!!
Fall is finally here in Florida—boot season has arrived (even if it’s short)! After retiring my well-loved boots from the past five years, I’m excited to find a new pair with a little heel. At 5'10", I don’t usually go for height, but a small-heeled bootie instantly elevates any outfit.
Also, this v-neck collared sweater I found? Total chef’s kiss. It gives just enough shape without losing that cozy oversized vibe.
And if you're looking at boots with function too, especially for work, think about carbon toe vs. steel toe—carbon for lightweight comfort, steel for heavy-duty protection. Style and safety can totally coexist!
